Summer and Camping

Well I'm now done Mathematics 116, and I feel good about being done. The final however is another matter. It was hard but I think I will still pass without any problem.

Well It's now summer and I really want to go camping again at Douglas Park. Partly because it was a rocking good time last year and also this year the lake is .4 meters away from being full. If you are a nerd like me then check out www.swa.ca for more info. Also I totally haven't been paying attention to the new photo blog service. now I can totally get rid of files off my homepage.usask.ca server. This also means that now you can click on the pictures and you get a bigger higher resolution photo. No more 400x300 pixels but up to 1024x768 (this will be the second post to take advantage of this feature).

Now onto more computer stuff. Tuesday, this past one, Apple released iTunes 4.9 and also an iPod update. It's great too, I was never in to downloading podcasts onto my ipod I would just sometimes listen to the file in Safari and that's it. Well now I'm Signed up to a few Podcasts and it's some great info that is up there. One is called the Great White North Podcast and it's a Canadian cast with some very unique canadian content. Such as a guy playing hockey while doing the 1 hour podcast. He's actually playing goal for the entire game while he records with a small microphone. Really cool. And on another mac blog. A lot of it was people asking questions then the guy answering them. And I knew how to resolve the problem better than the guy giving the answers did (I had the same problem as the guy and had to search extensively for an answer), So I may have to record my own answer and send it in.

Here's mike and with Shawn now gone. We are down to 2 regular guys. Well Blair is very regular two but I just don't know about the Fire thing. Actually that's one of the coolest things I've recently seen. Ok so there are the now 3 guys left, trust me this is going somewhere. Mike and I may put together a Podcast. Why we don't really know other than for fun. What it would be about, also no idea. But it would be fun and entertaining. So if you want a podcast from the two of us drop me a line. You can get my email or AIM off this site somewhere.

Well here's to happy trails this summer.

Making Money Working. Getting Fatter.

Well I Know i haven't blogged in a while but i've been busy with stuff and now taking a break from mathematics I'll get some posting done. Last week was a good Holiday from the folks and had a good time having the house to myself. But it comes with one drawback, I haven't gotten out as much as I don't need a breather from them. Also with the river being so high I haven't been canoeing in weeks and I've also gotten less biking done.

I'm now working a lot and this week I'm doing or have done 3 events. Monday was a 1.5 hour school dance at North Park Wilson. It was so easy and fun, I played 23 songs. I could of just about put on a CD. Then Last night it was the City Park grad. Not as much fun as the other one but it was good and there was only one song where nobody danced. Had some awesome requests too, the 'Numa Numa' song (it's romanian and I don't think anybody I know reads it), some George Throughgood, The Bad Touch (Couldn't play it though), and Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy (it should be noted that this is not a country crowd). And this weekend i'm DJing a wedding in Swift Current and it's a 4 hour wedding dance and getting well paid. Can't wait to see what comes next week.

This Friday Is also Karen's Grad and That should be a blast. I just can't seem to figure out what to wear. Suit (or my 'suit' which is a blazer with pants and the rest of the stuff), or my Kilt? Any input would help.

Jazz Band Rocks

Well tonight became a great night. The DJ thing was really boring because I was just playing background music. But then I had a blast playing with the Senior Jazz Band. Then Vocal Jazz had a great performance. I still enjoy playing with the 'youngens'. I miss seeing everybody like you do in High School.

Also great concert on Tuesday night. The weird piece was weird but good. And for all you that keep track, I think I might be wearing my trench coat more often.

Well now the pics

Painted Garage.

Well that's what the garage looks like now. Instead of White walls that are dirty. They are Antique White and clean. One more coat on the roof probably thursday and it's done!!!.

With me now being a DJ i was given this case to go through and check out songs and which songs could be added to certain top lists. Like Top Love/slow songs, Party/All ages songs, etc. Got a few to add but mostly it's that I've got more songs to add to my personal collection. I didn't even know I didn't have Blue Suede Shoes on my iPod.

I guess the other big news not for me but for apple. Is that they are now going to use Intel Chips in their computers. Well hopefully this works out for them, personally I like what they got but they haven't made any major changes recently for the past year and the chips aren't getting much faster. It will be nice is this means I can run OS X on our Window's machine. Considering last night I had a huge argument over digital photo's with my mom last night I'm convinced she needs a mac. Really needs one. When she's done organizing the ones she already has I'm going to make a Slideshow with iDVD because it's the best looking. So if you want to really have a lot of digital pictures and such get a mac.

Me and my Lappy

Well it's off to the MMGCI Concert Groups Concert tonight. I'm playing with the Jazz Groups on thursday too to fill out the sections. 10's only got one Trombone.

DJing and Other Stuff

So yeah it's been a while. Well a lot has happened, well really not that much. First of all I got the Garage Pained, with a little help from Caitlin and Sarah. That really takes the boredom out of it be able to talk with other people. Well other than painting I haven't done much until this weekend which was sweet. Friday, Mike and I chillaxed at the Riv where Erika fed us, and it was good. The Poutine was huge and was unfinishable ( I don't think that is a word but meh). It was good but I have to say that Erika is much better than she thinks she is and should really get a better job away from the creepy old men.

Saturday Night was also fun. Had to set up some wedding stuff at 6 then back for 8:30 for dance at 9. The best part was that when reading the booking form the last name was King and it brought no relation to Karen. Ended up being the wedding of Karen's 1st cousin. It was her dad's twin bother's son getting married. Too bad Karen was gone because it was a good night with the Grease Mega Mix and Last Saskatchewan Pirate being big songs.

Now this is the most interesting thing that has happened since the last blog. I got a call at 12:30 in the afternoon from Gil (owner of Danceland DJ's) to see if I could DJ a high school dance out of town. Before I knew the details I said yes. Well it was 2 days to remember. By 2:00 I had picked up the equipment, and Nick Cavan, an old friend of mine that i haven't seen in forever. So after a 5 hour drive we arrive in Smokey Lake Alberta. It's about 100km North-East of Edmonton. So we start half and hour late but then go to 11:30 so it was still a 4 hour dance. Then we walked to the bar had a few drinks then had a good what seemed like 10min of sleep but really was 6 hours. Then it was another 5 hours home, but at the dance I got a few girls phone numbers and one Marriage proposal.

Now this is more of a Poll for the people who read this. I'm currently debating wether I should just not care anymore and loose the bet that has already ended. Now here's the problem, if there are more than just one person that you want to maybe ask out, which one do you? Or is just it pointless to begin with.
