Welcome Engadget Readers!

And everybody else who checks this blog
Well today was an ok day. Then it became an awesome day. I'll start the story from last night while talking to Mike Kachor.

Last night Mike was telling me about this video that Brahm had found. Brahm had hosted a copy of it on the internet and I downloaded and watched it. Well the video is awesome and there is a link for it at the end of this post. I thought it was cool enough to send to Engadget which is a news/gadget blog. They actually put it up on the main site and unfortunately I linked it back to Brahm's server(Although i didn't know this at first). After getting back to school tonight around 9. I checked www.engadget.com to see what was new. I was surprised to see the link there and immediately clicked it which took me to Brahm's site where I got a 404 Error. So apparently Brahm uploaded this file more than 36,000 times!. I since have had more than 2000 hits to my blog as there was also a link to it on the post. Yikes. So I totally was responsible for crashing Brahm's server. After apologizing to Brahm it is all sorted out now. He's now posted the video to his usask.ca home-page which should have unlimited uploading(I hope) and the link on engadget takes you do an add for Trendwhore Bracelets which I need to get another one of.

The Link that has made me Famous on the Internet! Well I don't think famous is the word. The Best Christmas Lights Display Ever!

Also
Since i have started to write this post i have had 10 hits to my blog. This is awesome!

Well More is to follow on this post soon as I get home. I want to sleep!

Well I'm back home now so I'll finish.

Last week was super super busy. Pi-Throw and Design Games were last week along with some major assignments. So Lets say it was a very stressful week and I burned out at 2AM Friday morning. What was the cool part is that if we could of made out IR work for design games we could of won!. as We had the best of all the Dam's and our machine was equal to Caulks. But alas we couldn't make it all work. Hmmm What else is new. Ohh yeah. IPOD!

My New iPod arrived!
Stuff Follows the Pictures
Wayne's Nano on Left, Mine on Right

Man the new one is Awesome. It's black which is nice, although I do like the classic white look. It plays video's way better than I expected and also displays pictures in super nice quality.

Well I've just got some pictures from last week to follow. I'm really tired so I'm going to bed.

Beat out the other 19

So after reading Karen's blog. I totally came to the conclusion that I'm not as bad as I though. I clearly beat out 19 other guys, I should be proud about that.

Well I just had that quick thought before I sleep.

The Best Night Ever, A Summary

Well I'm now certain there needs to be a few corrections for my blog. mainly because I wrote that last post when I got home after a 50 min run. So here's the more coherent version.

4:45 - Headed outside to catch the bus to free beer that didn't come till 5:20
5:20 - Got on the bus to free beer, Oh the bus ride two verses of Haybobareebob had my name in them and I loved it.
5:30 - Arrived at Free beer, Proceeded to get a GW Lager
7:00 - After drinking 4 Lagers and 1 Pilsner, Arrived at The Pat

8:00ish - Left for the pubcrawl. And ohh my goodness it was awesome. At this point I forget the times. So we arrived at the scuz, it was mostly empty but still good. After hanging out there for a while and playing on the crappy foozeball table we headed to Dino's where Dena took me in the back door (The restaurant dummy). Dino's was awesome but they don't have 1-5-1, so that kinda ticked me off; however, Laura sutherland suggested that I then get tequila. Now for those of you who know me, I only drink it one way (Ask Shannon for the technique) and well after explaining it all to Laura and Kayla I had no objections so well mmmmmm tasty. Before we left Dirk got me a Rye with some kind of dark liquid (not sure on the coke or pepsi) which helped digest the tequila. Also played some Foozeball and Didn't do too badly. Although I think Dirk beat me.

Then to the Double Deuce, I had never been there before so it was a new experience, nice little dance floor. So I went up to the Dj and requested a song and then proceeded to dance like an idiot I'm sure. I then proceeded to have a chat with all the grade 11's (these are the 11's when we were the 12's) then back to dancing. I even remember seeing Dirk dancing but also no Photographs. The best was yet to come when the DJ played Call on Me the extended version. Ohh god I was thrusting like an idiot. Then back to the bus to go back to pat (I think there could of been partial nudity on this bus ride).

11:30ish - Back at the pat, kept hanging about, it was pretty dead. so eventually by 1 we left for the scuz to where a party of my high school lads had assembled and also Sonia, hannah and those guys went. Unfortunately there was a bit of a line and we were lazy. Also Sonia and hannah went back to the pat. so we missed them. We then proceeded to Wadena's as it's only a few blocks from the Pat and by now it's like 1:45.

Once there we took many strange pictures, some of them follow. and Brett was really tired, I was doing fine. So on my adventures around the apartment I had a chat with Dena as she worked on her iBook. Then I started to talk to Kayla who was laying on the spare bed. We had a good chat and then realized that they voices from the other room had ended. So we just continued our activity then after falling asleep then waking up at 3:15 I ran home. Stopped for a gatorade in sutherland then Basically ran all the way home except for 1/3 of the bridge and walked past river heights. It made me fell fit again.

So to recap it was an awesome night were I had lots and lots fun and got rid of some sexual fustrations. But on a serious note it was good becasue I didn't consume any 1-5-1 because with the consumption of beer I had it wouldn't of been a good mix.

Well Here are some other pictures of the night. Some even I can't find. But there is one where your goal is to find my location in the picture. Enjoy

On a side note this is my blog entry number 100! I hope the fun continues.
Another side not is that a few posts down one of the numbers for one of the entries needs to be changed from a 1 to a 4.

Best Night EVER!

Well I'm Home from what I must say tonight has been my Best night out. First freebeer was great. mmmm GW Lager. Then we got into the Pat (we as in Karen also), bought some tickets from Courtney's bra for the Gak 'n' Yak pubcrawl. The crawl was awesome. Then once it ended we were at the pat then we decided to head to the scuz (I wanted to meet up with mike and company). But there was a line so we then went to Wadena's as she was only 4 blocks away and Carmen was there so we chatted. So Brett Knox, Wadena, Kayla, Carmen, David, and myself chatted, Then I got tired so I went to lay down and then two hours later I woke up and decided to run home which only took 50 min.

But it was nice to see carmen, and we did sit around chatting before i laid down. So Brett, Dena, Carmen and david had a good chat and the rest of us had a good nap.

Well it's late, I will be around so Message or E-mail me.

17 Cents more Expensive

Gas = 92.9
Diesel = 109.9??? What the Fuck?

Diesel fuel currently costs 109.9$/liter. That is bullshit for it to be so much more than gas. It's cheaper to make and I'm sure the truckers are also a little bit ticked. I haven't filled up the full tank as it will probalby cost me around 40$. Now i know that for some is really really cheap; however, let me point out that the most expensive fill up I have ever had was 37.30 and that was for 36.605L at 101.9$/L. I enjoyed the days where 40.9 Liters (that was a 782 Km trip, which isn't the farthest i've ever gone) only cost me $28.59. Now I'm not complaining that the price can't be high. but when it's 17 cents more expensive than gas then there is something seriously wrong.

My Favourite Logo

On a lighter note I'm gonig to be getting my hair cut very soon in the immediate future. So if you have any ideas for ways I could get it cut please let me know.

I have also come to the conclusion that I am getting old. And as proof it is now possible for the kid (I'm going to have to say adult soon) below (Andrew Kesler) can legally drive. Ouch I'm old.

Skiing Scott is Back, and many other things of importance

Tonight was great, I finally got back out training. After ski walking and bounding up ravine drive hill 7 times then doing 3 sets of plyomectrics I am beat physically; however, it was just what my brain needed. I'll be doing something very light tomorrow as it is supposed to be a rest day but I want to get lots of hours in this week.

This past weekend was playoffs for the campus rec ultimate league. We ended up only getting 7 people out 5 guys and 2 girls. So we had to play our second game 6 to 7. We put up a good fight but in the end we got beat by the Trojans. But in the next game my sisters team (pictured below) creamed them 13-3. At one the half it was 7-0, then to 12-1 at which point they literally stopped playing. So that's two years in a row now that she has been on the winning ultimate team.

You can't tell but yes Erin did catch this pass and scored!

First Year Bowling as last week and I was out taking pictures and sporting my mostly full beard. So this is my question, I know there aren't any good pictures but go with the beard or not? Or go for something like I had last year? By the way I did get 3 strikes in a row. But I was playing 3 seperate games so according to the score card I didn't get a turkey but in reality I did. Also made some amazing shots where I basically just grabed the ball with my left hand. then at the last moment threw it down the lane to my left. I got about 5-6 strikes doing this alone.

Design Games are next week, this is where we are given supplies then try to build the best device that costs the least, and Kachor and I were talking lego so I thought I should take a picture of my grain elevator before I eventually have to take it down. I built it in grade 9 for an english project (which I got a 100% on). Notice the grain in the truck. also there is the grate for it to fall through in the elevator.

Also next week is Pi-Throw! which runs Nov 16-18. (which will make design games all that more exciting). Call 966-7700 to send a Pie to somebody for 10$. All the proceeds to go Charity to EWB and Tamara's House.
The person who gets the pie can then do one of four things

1. Redirect the pie for 10$
2. Buy the pie for 20$
3. Take the pie in the face for free
4. Choose not to participate (But it's for charity so come on!)

For all of you who want to get in early on the pie orders just send me an email or call 966-7700. They are really good to send to profs or high school teachers or car dealerships (for your dad maybe Teegan?)

Well with that I'm going to bed.

Finally!

Ok I'm so sorry this has taken this long but I've been busy and lazy.

So I'm going to start with Friday. Friday was awesome! First it started when I handed an assignment in then went to the bank. I how have spending money again which is good because I don't work this weekend. Then math comes around and it wasn't too bad. It's physics 165 and I think there is something in that room that makes my nose run like mad. Then there was a 1 hour break as they cancelled comp sci (mid-term was night before). I wrote my in-class essay on As You Like it which did suck but then got my other essay back that i wrote the night before and that I thought was crap and would fail, but no I got a 64! woot!

I then head back to engineering where I chill then I call Apple because this week I sent back the 4th iPod they have sent me under warranty. After being on hold for most of the 30 min call. I was informed that they are not going to send me a replacement iPod. They are sending me a NEW 5th generation iPod. These are the newest ones that play video, so now I'm just pumped! They called me back today to get some more information from me because they've already sent me a replacement old one so i've gotta send it back once I get it then they will send me the new one! So if anybody wants an iTrip (black, but colour doesn't matter) then let me know. (it doesn't work on the new ones)

So driving home from school Friday I was reminded of lots of people I haven't seen forever, So here's my list of people I need to have a beer with (I won't say go for coffee as I don't drink coffee, so this is my version of the same thing).

- Andy McDougall - Haven't seen this kids for a while, and we said we needed to go for a beer.
- Lee Spicer - Been many many ages. Beer or a game of Unreal Tournament
- Teegan Jeffers - Seen her recently but haven't really talked in a while
- Nick Cavan - I'll have to go to Reiley's so check his killer Dj skilz out.
- Erika - It just seems we haven't seen each other for ages.
- Joel Kesler - He's in Toronto so this could be difficult (And happy late 22nd Birthday!)
- Nathan Sedgewick - I haven't been out training in so long I feel like we need a beer and hottub again.
- The guy at apple who's sending me a new iPod!
- Brad Joyce - Never did do much with him outside of lounge, but not having him constantly around the lounge is weird as it's all I'm used to.
- Charlotte - Maybe there will be more flaming drinks?

Well that's all I can think of now.

So tonight I headed to the Bassment to listen to some jazz for my jazz history class. It was a group that my prof for the class is a part of so I did know one guy. Lets just say it was great. Hannah graciously joined me so I wasn't going in there alone (Teegan, I wasn't totally sure that you were going). The Trombone player rocked and did a little solo bit with some polyphonics that were sweet especially at the end. I knew the cords he played but I couldn't remember what they were from.
