LAN Party
There are many ways for people to get together, some of the easiest being going for coffee, or a beer, or for dinner. There are other things like supper, or a dance, or a bar. But to 8 Guys on a saturday afternoon/night, the best thing in the world is getting 8 computers together and playing a computer game that came out in 1998! The games almost been out for 10 years. It started with Bed David showing up around 12:30. By the end of it we had a few 8 player matches featuring.
In Seating Order
Ben David aka Raptor Jesus
Tim Clarke aka ???????????????
Tyler Beatty aka Newbtrogdore!!!1!one (first time ever playing the game)
Keith Kuspira aka zomgazaurs rexzzz
Adrien Rudulier aka OMGWTFBBQGRASS
Andrew Taylor aka ZOMG! ben's mom
Mike Kachor aka Strike Freedom
Scott Theede aka Dickinabox
THere was lots of killing and death and destruction. Ben even brought his tower, which was a little overkill. Considering mike played on his little ibook, it proves why starcraft is still a good game. Anybody can play it. You need a Pentium at 90 Mhz, My current computer is 2160 Mhz machine, with two cores. It was an awesome game though. I think I only really "lost" once, but then again who knows. Andy also was the only asshole by being a Team Killing F***tard. All in all it was really quite a good way to spend an afternoon. What also made the LAN party awesome was the abundance of Mac's. If Ben david had brought his Powerbook, the numbers would have been 6 Mac's to 2 PC's. In the end it was 2 Macbook Pros, 1 Macbook, 1 Powerbook, 1 iBook, 1 PC Tower that needs a new motherboard, 1 Dell, and one Compaq.
Later in the evening. I got Lemonaded, by Greg Paterson and company, includeing Dallas, Avree, Elise, Latisha, and Liz. So In the end it became one giant nerd fest with lemonade, which I proudly drank from my Erlenmeyer flask.
May we have another LAN party some time in the future.

Computers, Skiing, Top Gear, and Strangebrood
Well, I'm back. I've decided to steal my Old computer back so I could get some compact blogging on. So far, My mid-term break has been awesome. Today I decided to tackle my first computer/computer accessory assembly. Now I may appear to be quite the computer nerd; however, the most I've done is add RAM, which is easy. Today, I went about building an external hard drive. To do this, i bought a case, and a hard drive. I thought this might require knowing something about computers. It did not. I took all of 5 min, plug in 3 cables, screw in 6 screws, Plug it in, turn it on. then i had to format it which because it was a blank hard-drive took all of 2 seconds. I was actually hoping for it to be harder than that, to get my nerd status up a few pegs. I'll leave that to my next task, getting Tim to re-format my parents windows machine, cause I could probably do it, but I'd rather not.
So as for skiing goes, I've got 2 weekends of skiing left before heading up to the Winter Games. I'll be gone for my birthday. But I've got more news about that coming later. I'll have my camera up there so I'll have plenty of pictures to post.
Third, Top Gear, the british car show is back on air. And it's once again awesome as always. They got thrown rocks at them by americans in the last episode. Absolutely brilliant.
Fourth. I've been on the Strange Brood as a host/correspondent. You can find the episode on www.thestrangebrood.com. I go by the name of Caesar there.
That's all for now. Check back Soon.
